deb cards, etc. began in 1993 when deb
gassmann decided it was time to send out her own holiday cards to relatives.
the first few cards were caricatures of her and her struggle to
find the perfect holiday outfit. from there she moved to holiday
characters, and gradually her favorite subject became her cats.
every year people look forward to receiving her holiday card, and many have kept each one
that they have received. over
the years, she branched out designing many invitations and other types
of cards for both family
members and friends (hence, the "etc."). the incredible feedback from the "lil pumpkin" baby shower invitation design from
2006 was
the catalyst to finally make her items available for purchase.
to create each design, deb hand draws
it first in pencil, then goes back in with pen and ink. the final
black and white drawing is digitized for printing. color is then
added and the finished design is catalogued. the designs you see
on this website are the best of
the best of her work. if we don't have exactly what you
may be looking for listed, we will gladly work with you to customize
what is already available, or cheerfully attempt something new for your greeting card or event.
